Coventry Pride 2019 Guide

With Pride month just getting underway, Coventry Pride is set to return this weekend 8 – 9 June.

The start of June marks National Pride month, which means Coventry Pride is right around the corner. This weekend, in fact. We’ve rounded up all that’s going on across the city on 8 – 9 June.

The theme for Coventry Pride this year is #SuperHeroesofPride, encouraging everyone to celebrate the superhero within them and diversity in all its forms, by coming together as one and sharing the wonderful city we all live in without fear of discrimination.

Regardless of sexual orientation, people from all corners of the city are invited to come along and share in the event.

Keep in mind, Coventry Pride is a free event and no tickets are required.

Here’s a full itinerary of all that’s going on this weekend:

Saturday 8 June 2019

10:30 – 12 noon: Walking Parade – gather from 10 am at Greyfriars Green, CV1 1DY (down from The Yard heading towards the station)

12 noon to 8:30 pm: University Square, Bailey Lane and the
Cathedral ruins
– outdoor stages of music and entertainment, food & drink and community stalls.

12 noon to 6 pm: The Herbert Art Gallery – indoor stages and community stalls.

2 pm to 4 am: Ghost Town x Day & Night Party – one of the U.S.’s most critically-acclaimed DJs is set to turn Fargo Village into fourteen hour day and night party, with food stalls and an art installation curated by Secret Knock Magazine

Sunday 9 June 2019

12 noon to 6 pm: University Square and Bailey Lane – outdoor stages of music and entertainment, food & drink and community stalls

1 pm – 3 pm Sports Day, Cathedral ruins – a sports day offering you a chance to have a bit of sporty fun, nothing too physical so everyone can have a go

4 pm, LGBT+ Church Service, University Square – this year’s LGBT+ church service is in University Square
