New initiative to support Coventry’s art culture and dining scene

A new collaborative initiative to support Coventry’s visual arts and promote the city’s local food and drink scene.

The Art Crowd Coventry is a new collaborative initiative conceived by the arts organisations based with Coventry Artspace at Eaton House.

The aim of the project is to support local art organisations and ethical food and drink outlets in the city.

Each food and drink partner identified a product on their menu as an Art Crowd item. For each sale of the product, they make a small donation to The Art Crowd Fund, which is then distributed to the Arts organisations at the end of the year.

The Art Crowd organisations support the partner businesses by encouraging their culturally minded to frequent the local restaurants and cafes, and to buy The Art Crowd products.

The local arts organisations involved include Coventry Artspace, Talking Birds, The Photo Archive Miners and Coventry Biennial.

The funds raised will support these arts organisations in the local work they do providing affordable spaces for visual artists to work and exhibit in, opportunities for their development through networking and other forms of support.

On the menu you will find The Art Crowd Beer from Twisted Barrel Brewery and Tap House, The Art Crowd Cookie from Wicked Cookies and The Art Crowd Coffee from Bean and Leaf Coffee House.
