Outdoor cinema coming to Coventry Cathedral Ruins this summer

Showing two of the year’s top Oscar-winning movies and one of the country’s most loved family classics.

Summer Screens under-the-stars cinema experience is coming to Coventry this summer, and in no better location than the Coventry Cathedral Ruins.

This unique, atmospheric evening event offers an immersive cinema experience, in a location like none other.

Showing will be the year’s top Oscar-winning movies including A Star Is Born, Bohemian Rhapsody and everybody’s family favourite Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, through 24 – 27 July.

Doors for all the events open at 7.30pm, with the films starting at 9pm, meaning the events will take place in darkness, under-the-stars.

You can bring your own seat or blanket, or upgrade to one of the bean bag or deckchair packages, both also available in double variants to fit two people.

All upgraded seats are in a prime viewing position at the front of the venue and come complete with a complimentary drink from the bar, chocolate and popcorn.

A bar will be available at the events, selling a range of alcoholic, soft and hot drinks as well as cinema snacks, sweets and chocolate.

There are also great wines and prosecco, craft beers and cider, a range of soft drinks, tea and a coffee. And of course, it wouldn’t be the cinema without popcorn.

Unlike most cinemas, you are welcome to bring your own food and drink to the viewings.
